We listen to and learn from committed teachers with a focus on improving reading by third grade, and partner with promising schools to understand how they support teaching reading. We identify great teachers, replicate their work, and celebrate great teaching success.
We chose this area of focus after conducting extensive research, and through professional learning communities with public school teachers about key principles for effective teaching. This work will address the current challenges in better reading outcomes for children, and build awareness in the community for solutions.
