Flamboyan Foundation has hired Alicia Robinson as senior managing director of talent and equity effective January 1, 2018. Founder and chief career catalyst of EdPlus Consulting, Alicia becomes Flamboyan’s first-ever talent and equity officer and will help shape the future direction of the organization by spearheading efforts to recruit, retain, and develop diverse talent.

Most recently, however, she has led transformative educational efforts through the lens of equity at EdPlus Consulting. At the Washington, D.C.-based firm she founded, Alicia has worked at the intersection of social justice and education by helping schools and education organizations discover, train and retain the best and brightest education professionals while supporting educational professionals to find their passion so they can locate career opportunities and resources.

“I am thrilled to welcome Alicia to the Flamboyan team,” said Kristin Ehrgood, President of Flamboyan Foundation. “Her experience and expertise coupled with her passion for equity, inclusion and best practices in talent management make her an ideal fit for this new role.” “Flamboyan is perfectly poised to be a proof-point for what is possible when an organization puts equity at the center of everything they do,” Alicia stated. “I’m honored to be selected to guide Flamboyan in their commitment to ensuring a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace for all staff.”

Alicia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from American University.
